2010 - 20 Years of Poets Anonymous - First Friday, New Home

First Fridays: The First Friday meeting now has a new home - the bar at the Fairfield Hotel, 1 Landsdowne Road, Croydon, CR9 2BN. The next meeting will be held on 5 March 2010, from 8.00 - £2 waged, £1 unwaged. The featured poet will be Sue Young.

Sue Young's poetry is lyrical and enchanting, telling a clear story. Her poetry has matured to mix free verse with a closely guided underlying structure. Her obvious sensitivity helps make her a poet of some renown and we believe a woman who you will find worth coming to listen to.

Poetry Workshops:

Poets Anonymous have held a series of workshops at Pepperton uk wholefood restaurant and gallery.

These workshops were organised as '... pairs of sessions with a gap of a week between pairs to allow members to work on their projects. The method of working is quite informal but will concentrate on Sound, Form and Rhythm in turn. There are no prizes, no losers, but there is the risk of seriously enjoying yourself!'

'If you would like to discuss your work, to improve your style or grasp of poetic form, or even if you don't write poetry but would like to, one of our Poetry Workshops might be the very thing you are looking for!' - Brian Dann, Workshop Leader.
