Seventh Annual Poetry Competition

First Prize £500 - Prizes totalling £300 for runners-up
A runners-up prize sponsored by Locks & Handles

Entry costs are £3.00 for the first poem, £2.00 for the second and only £1.00 for each subsequent poem. Up to ten poems of not more than 50 lines each. The poems should not have been previously published or accepted for publication.Poems should be typed or neatly handwritten on one side of an A4 sheet and accompanied by a completed entry form and the appropriate fee. No poem must bear the author's name. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope if you wish to be informed of the results of the Competition. Poems will not be returned - keep a copy.

Closing Date 1st October 2003. The prize-winners will be announced on 5 December 2003 at the December meeting of Poets Anonymous. Prize winners will be invited to attend. The winning poems will be published in a competition anthology which will cost £2.50 per copy.

The judge's decision is final. The judge is Janice Fixter. Writer of poetry and prose. Her non-fiction is published by Hodder & Stoughton. Her poetry has been widely published in magazines, the national press, and has been read on radio. Her collection Walking Away From The Shadows was published by Poets Anonymous. Janice is completing a doctorate in creative writing.
